Can you make some Chinese number cards too? Do they look different? Can you draw the correct number of spots to represent each number?

People and Communities - Chinese New Year
Use the PowerPoint and find out more about Chinese New Year.
Have you tried Chinese food before? What have you tried and what is your favourite?
Create a Chinese restaurant at home. What would you have on your menu?
Can you have a go at writing the menu using your Fred sounds? How much will your food cost at the restaurant? You could use the Chinese numbers you have been using in maths to show the price of each item.
Can you make a Chinese paper lantern to decorate your restaurant?
There are lots of things you can do at home, here are a few ideas:
- Role play e.g. farm, school, hairdresser, puppet show.
- Build a den and watch a movie in it.
- Play some party games like musical bumps or musical statues.
- Make/bake your favourite treat.
- Go to the park with your family.
