Welcome to Nursery!
In Nursery, we love to learn through exploring our environment and sharing what we know. We have lots of exciting learning spaces which are developed from our children’s interests and needs. If you visited our Nursery you would see children who are purposeful, calm, confident and independent. You would see adults moving to where the children are engaged and interacting with them as they play.
Your school journey starts here, working together as partners. We will guide you through an amazing year, preparing you to make the enormous step into full time education. Your Nursery year will include an amazing curriculum bursting with rich learning opportunities, educational visits, winter productions and ‘Learn Together’ sessions, where you can come into school with your child to share their learning experiences.
Nursery P.E will be on a Wednesday. Children need a P.E. kit (white T shirt, black shorts and pumps). These can be left at Nursery in their P.E bag and will be sent home at the end of each half term to be washed.
Home Learning Tasks will sent home on a Thursday. Please return Home Learning books on a Monday so that new work can be given.
Library Books - Each week your child will have two books to take home. A picture book and a story book. Both books are to help your child develop an interest in books, and increase their understanding and vocabulary. Children will keep these books at home for a week and return them on a Friday when they can choose new books.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CHILD'S CLOTHING IS CLEARLY LABELLED TO AVOID LOSS OR CONFUSION.
Capturing the Learning in Nursery
Our learning theme this half term is Autumn Time. Using our senses, we will observe and explore signs of Autumn.
We have been thinking about bonfire and firework safety. We had fun creating our own firework pictures.
Magic Moments: Please remember to send your child's 'Magic Moment' slips so that we can celebrate their achievements together.
